Fidenza Village Announces a Partnership with the Prestigious Italian Charity Event Convivio

Founded by Gianni Versace in 1992, Convivio is recognised as the most important charity in Italy supporting ANLAIDS (Associazione Nazionale per la Lotta contro l’AIDS), which works tirelessly to promote positive behaviour as a means to prevent the spread of AIDS. Now, in its 10th anniversary year, Value Retail will introduce the work of Convivio to a new audience through the launch of the Convivio boutique at Fidenza Village in a move that will sustain the excitement of the famous Milan based shopping biennale for which Convivio has become recognised.

“The opportunity that Fidenza Village is giving Convivio, over an extended period, is wonderful. The Village is an important crossroads, especially for families, throughout the year. This helps us to spread our message of awareness and prevention amongst the young.”
Professor Mauro Moroni, ANLAIDS President – Lombardia

The Convivio boutique at Fidenza Village will offer an eclectic mix of ready to wear and accessories, vintage fashion and luxuries for the home donated by some of the most famous brands and personalities in the worlds of fashion and entertainment: Armani, Versace,  Balenciaga, Byblos, Ballantyne, Calvin Klein, Costume National, Escada, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferrè, Roberto Cavalli, Moschino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Camera Italiana Buyer, Ermanno Scervino, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Iceberg, Marc Jacobs, Valentino and some very special pieces including items worn by Eva Herzigová, Lady Gaga, Alanis Morissette and Julianne Moore. Prices will be reduced by up to 50% off the original retail price, and all proceeds will be donated to ANLAIDS. Further injections of new stock to the boutique will follow in the months of November and December, adding to the treasure trove of truly original gifts just in time for Christmas. The aim is to support the scientific research against an illness that is still aggressively active mainly amongst the young generations.

“Today, as the Creative Director of Convivio, I am pleased to support Value Retail and Fidenza Village and to thank them for the opportunity they are giving to Convivio with the inauguration of this space. This new home will give Convivio an additional chance to spread the message of ANLAIDS.”

Franca Sozzani, Creative Director for Convivio

The official opening of the Convivio boutique will take place on Tuesday 19th October at 6.30 pm as a private VIP event with hosts Desirée Bollier, CEO Value Retail Management; Professor Mauro Moroni – ANLAIDS President – Lombardia, and Convivio’s Creative Director Franca Sozzani, together with Francesca Versace, niece of the late Gianni Versace. Also attending the event will be supermodel Eva Herzigová. Eva has appeared in campaigns for Gianni Versace and in more recent times for Versace, as a long term supporter of Convivio, it is particularly befitting that Eva lends her support as an ambassador for the Convivio boutique launch.

The boutique will be open to the public from the 20th October 2010.

“Value Retail is delighted to support this important initiative assisting Convivio in its 10th anniversary year. Fidenza Village has established a reputation as a leading destination for shoppers from Italy and around the globe. Therefore, with the launch of this new initiative, our aim is to raise awareness of the valuable work of Convivio amongst Fidenza Village’s wide, international audience.”

Desirée Bollier, CEO Value Retail Management

About Anlaids:

ANLAIDS Onlus – the Italian national association for the fight against AIDS – was established in 1985 by a group of doctors, researchers and citizens motivated by the desire to tackle an emerging problem in the 1980s. It is a political, non-profit organisation, which continues its statutory work through contributions from its members, donations from citizens, and funds collected through public service campaigns. It was created with the principal purpose of promoting initiatives for the enhancement and development of scientific research, to offer assistance to people who are HIV-positive and ill, and to study and address the social problems related to AIDS.

ANLAIDS Onlus also operates through its regional offices with initiatives carried out autonomously or in collaboration with the Regional and National Health Services, universities, research institutes, institutes of public administration, and other organisations and associations.
